Moise a zis lui Dumnezeu: “Iată, când mă voi duce la copiii lui Israel şi le voi spune: “Dumnezeul părinţilor voştri m-a trimis la voi”; şi mă vor întreba: “Care este Numele Lui?” Ce le voi răspunde?”.

Deci au zis lui [Tomas] ceilalti ucenici: Am vazut pe Domnul! Dar el le-a zis: Daca nu voi vedea, in mainile Lui, semnul cuielor, si daca nu voi pune degetul meu in semnul cuielor, si daca nu voi pune mana mea in coasta Lui, nu voi crede.

Si dupa 8 zile, ucenicii Lui erau iarasi inauntru, si Toma, impreuna cu ei. Si a venit Iisus, usile fiind incuiate, si a stat in mijloc si a zis: Pace voua!

Apoi a zis lui Toma: Adu degetul tau incoace si vezi mainile Mele si adu mana ta si o pune in coasta Mea si nu fi necredincios ci credincios. A raspuns Toma si I-a zis: Domnul meu si Dumnezeul meu!. Iisus I-a zis: Pentru ca M-ai vazut ai crezut. Fericiti cei ce n-au vazut si au crezut!

Iar acestea s-au scris, ca sa credeti ca Iisus este Hristosul, Fiul lui Dumnezeu, si, crezand, sa aveti viata in numele Lui.

Ioan 20:25-29,31

Le dijeron [a Tomas], pues, los otros discípulos: Al Señor hemos visto. Él les dijo: Si no viere en sus manos la señal de los clavos, y metiere mi dedo en el lugar de los clavos, y metiere mi mano en su costado, no creeré.

8 días después, estaban otra vez sus discípulos dentro, y con ellos Tomás. Llegó Jesús, estando las puertas cerradas, y se puso en medio y les dijo: Paz a vosotros. Luego dijo a Tomás: Pon aquí tu dedo, y mira mis manos; y acerca tu mano, y métela en mi costado; y no seas incrédulo, sino creyente.

Entonces Tomás respondió y le dijo: ¡Señor mío, y Dios mío! Jesús le dijo: Porque me has visto, Tomás, creíste; bienaventurados los que no vieron, y creyeron.

Pero estas se han escrito para que creáis que Jesús es el Cristo, el Hijo de Dios, y para que creyendo, tengáis vida en su nombre.

but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.
